Well, summer was kinda a long time away. I spent it working at dearest old Lorin Farr Swimming pool, checking chemicals, training lifeguards, and playing pranks on them when nobody was looking :) Then I came back to school. This semester has been a whirlwind of wonderfulness! I love my ward, I love my roommates, I love my apartment, I love swim team... this year made me realize how much I love school. I love it and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life teaching Deaf kiddies!
Ok that was boring.... you still awake? if not... wake up! its very rude to fall asleep when reading a person's blog post! Besides, I'm about to share stories!
Once upon a time Aly found her calling in life... a grandma! Aly has spent her whole life up to this point developing grandma-like talents to pass on to her future posterity. Namely, Aly has recently begun to sell knitted hats with an... unusual flair. For the mere price of $20, Aly can knit a dead fish, a monster, or a shark. more cool hats to come! currently Aly is working on knitting herself a wig, because on Dec 28, Aly is going to donate her hair to locks of love! If you ever want a good laugh, I highly recommend checking out this website for some rules of Locks of Love: http://www.locksoflove.org/donate.html I am so tempted to cut off my hair and send it in......... in 7 years or so :) anyway, back to me being a grandma, I also planning on learning how to crotchet rugs... fear not if you have never heard of this, its a grandma thing to do :P I am pretty sure the youngest person alive today that completes this craft is 97 1/2. But I will become the world's youngest grandma! it will be awesome! and I will have a really cool rug! After I complete a crotcheted rug, I am going to make myself even older and try something called "broomstick weaving" again, I am pretty sure this originated with the pioneers. But, it makes for a pretty sweet rug! My house will be so cute and old lady like! :)
So that's me.... I still love water and sign language and yarn. and meat. mmmmmmmm.
